The Houston Rockets will be playing for their season in Game 4 against the Los Angeles Lakers on Sunday night.
With a win, the Rockets will live to fight another day. With a loss, their season will come to an end in an abrupt and underwhelming way.
When it comes to Kevin Durant's status for the critical contest, we'll have to wait and see.
Durant is currently listed as "questionable" on the official injury report for the game due to a left ankle sprain. His final status will be determined prior to tipoff.
Durant missed the third game of the series due to the ankle injury. He also missed the first game of the series due to a knee injury that he suffered during practice in the week leading up to the start of the series, so it's been a rough stretch of injury luck for the star forward.
Rockets head coach Ime Udoka said that Durant is doing everything behind the scenes to get back out on the floor.
“He’s getting treatment still around the clock,” Udoka said. “I think there’s some soreness and [he’s] pushed a lot of swelling out, but it’ll be a matter of if he can go. … And so you really can’t tell, but he’s doing everything he can to get back.”
