The Philadelphia 76ers got absolutely dominated in Game 1 of their first-round series with the rival Boston Celtics.

They'll look to bounce back in Game 2 on Tuesday night, but doing so will be easier said than done, especially without star center Joel Embiid.

After missing the first game of the series, Embiid has been officially ruled out for Game 2 due to appendectomy recovery.

A return timeline for Embiid remains unknown, but he has began the process of working his way back.

The third game of the series will take place on Friday night, and it seems like a longshot that Embiid would be available for that game, but we'll have to wait and see. Game 4 is set for Sunday.

Meanwhile, a 1-1 series coming back to Philadelphia for two games would feel a whole lot better for the Sixers than being down 0-2, so pulling out a win in the second game of the series is of the utmost importance.

The good news for Philadelphia is that Embiid is the only player listed with a designation on the injury report for Game 2, so the Sixers will have everyone else available for the critical contest.
