Royal Challengers Bengaluru moved top of the IPL 2026 table after beating Kolkata Knight Riders by six wickets in Raipur. Manish Pandey stole attention with a stunning one-handed catch to dismiss Tim David, leaving players shocked. However, Virat Kohli dominated the match with an unbeaten 105, becoming the fastest batter to reach 14,000 T20 runs and guiding RCB home comfortably.

In a night of high drama and breathtaking cricket, Royal Challengers Bengaluru stormed to the top of the IPL 2026 table with a commanding six-wicket victory over Kolkata Knight Riders in Raipur. But it was a moment of pure magic in the field that had everyone—including the great Virat Kohli—rubbing their eyes in disbelief.

Chasing a challenging 193, RCB were cruising when Manish Pandey produced a catch that will be replayed for years. Tim David attempted a late cut off Kartik Tyagi, the ball flying like a bullet toward backward point. Pandey, diving full stretch to his left, plucked it out of thin air with his weaker hand, just inches above the turf. The stadium fell silent before erupting. Tyagi stood frozen with his hands on his head, while Kohli watched in sheer astonishment. Even KKR's players seemed stunned as they celebrated. Later, a smiling Kohli was seen giving Pandey a warm hug—a moment that quickly went viral across social media.

And the replays only made it look more spectacular. A worldie, indeed.

But if Pandey owned the field, Kohli owned the match. After two consecutive ducks, the King roared back in style, smashing an unbeaten 105 off just 60 balls. His innings, laced with 11 fours and three sixes, not only guided RCB home with five balls to spare but also made him the fastest batter ever to reach 14,000 T20 runs.

"I just love batting," said Kohli with a smile. "What an honour to be playing at this level. This is all I've done all my life. I want to make the most of every day." On handling the pressure of a big chase, he added: "There's a reason why people say pressure is a privilege. Good pressure always makes you improve your game."

Earlier, KKR had posted a competitive 192/4, powered by Angkrish Raghuvanshi's classy 71 and Rinku Singh's late fireworks. But the defeat dealt a serious blow to their already slim playoff hopes.

For RCB fans, it was a night of pure joy—a stunning catch, a masterful century, and a spot at the top of the table. If this is what the rest of IPL 2026 has in store, we're in for a treat.
