The Iowa Hawkeyes' future defensive line just got a major boost with the commitment of Class of 2027 standout Tommy Riordan. The 3-star prospect announced his decision on social media, choosing Iowa over a competitive list of suitors that included Illinois, Wisconsin, and Kansas State.
Riordan brings impressive physical tools to Iowa City. The Hinsdale Central (Ill.) product is listed at 6-foot-4.5 and 245 pounds, boasting an 80-inch wingspan and a 35-inch vertical leap—traits that scream high-ceiling pass rusher.
This commitment also keeps it in the family. Tommy is the younger brother of current Iowa freshman offensive lineman Gene Riordan, making the Hawkeyes' trenches a true family affair. His addition is a significant win for the program, as he becomes the first defensive lineman and the seventh overall player to join Iowa's 2027 recruiting class.
