An intriguing running back prospect has the Jacksonville Jaguars' interest ahead of the 2026 NFL draft.

While the Jacksonville Jaguars added a running back in free agency, it appears the position is still very much on their mind as the 2026 NFL Draft approaches. The team's interest has reportedly landed on an intriguing prospect: Texas A&M's Le'Veon Moss.

In a recent interview, Moss confirmed he has met virtually with the Jaguars, among other teams, sparking speculation about a potential fit in Duval County. So, what exactly would Moss bring to an NFL backfield?

At his best, Moss is a powerful, efficient runner who excels at generating big plays. Over his collegiate career, he averaged an impressive 5.5 yards per carry. His most productive season came in 2024, where he exploded for 765 yards and 10 touchdowns, averaging a whopping 6.3 yards per attempt. His style is that of a classic, between-the-tackles grinder with good finishing strength and a knack for gaining extra yards after contact.

However, his draft profile comes with notable considerations for NFL scouts. His role in the passing game was minimal in college, which may limit his third-down utility at the next level. Furthermore, injuries have been a concern, as he appeared in only seven games last season. According to the Relative Athletic Score (RAS) system, his overall athletic testing places him in the mid-tier among running back prospects historically.

NFL.com analyst Lance Zierlein summarized Moss as a "blue-collar backup" with the strength and scheme versatility to handle a larger workload when called upon, but lacking the elite elusiveness or receiving chops to be a featured, three-down star.

For the Jaguars, Moss represents a potential value pick who could add reliable depth and a physical presence to their running back room. In a league where a stable of capable runners is essential, a player of Moss's mold could be a smart, late-round investment to bolster the ground game and compete from day one.
