Inter have been dealt an unexpected injury blow after confirming that Luis Henrique will be sidelined with a muscle problem.

The Brazilian underwent tests this morning, with the club issuing an official update shortly after.

Inter confirmed, in an official statement, that “Luis Henrique underwent clinical and instrumental tests this morning at the Humanitas Institute in Rozzano.”

They added that “the tests revealed a strain in the adductor magnus of his right thigh.”

The Nerazzurri also noted that “his condition will be reassessed in the next few days.”

Indeed, suggesting the issue is not considered serious.

Reports from FCInterNews suggest that this type of injury typically requires between 10 and 15 days of recovery.

As a result, Luis Henrique will miss the upcoming Serie A fixtures against Torino on April 26 and Parma on May 3.

There are also doubts over his availability for the league clash against Lazio.

Inter are unlikely to take risks, with the possibility of only a brief cameo if he is close to full fitness.

The focus instead is on ensuring the winger is fully recovered for the Coppa Italia final on May 13.

Which is also against Lazio, at the Stadio Olimpico.
