Inter Milan made history on Sunday night with a commanding victory over Parma, securing the Serie A title with three games remaining—a triumph that felt like destiny for manager Christian Chivu. The win marked a full-circle moment for the former defender, who now stands alone in the club's storied history.

According to Sky Italia, Chivu has become the first person to win the Scudetto with Inter as a player, Primavera (youth) team coach, and first-team manager. While Giovanni Invernizzi achieved the latter two feats in the 1970s, and Arrigo Sacchi did it with two different clubs (Cesena and Milan), Chivu's trifecta with a single club places him in rarefied air.

When you add his playing days in the Nerazzurri jersey, Chivu now ranks among the top ten most decorated figures in Serie A history with four titles to his name. Antonio Conte leads the all-time list with ten triumphs, followed by Giovanni Trapattoni and Fabio Capello (nine each), and Pro Vercelli legend Guido Ara (eight). Notably, Chivu is just the seventh person to achieve this level of success with the same club.

According to Calcio e Finanza, the former defender has joined an elite group of managers who won the Scudetto in their first full season in Italy's top flight. The list includes only Cestmir Vycpalek, Arrigo Sacchi, and José Mourinho—company that speaks volumes about Chivu's immediate impact.

The path to glory became clearer as Napoli's star players fell to injuries, Milan struggled to close the gap from too far behind, and Juventus self-destructed early in the campaign. But as Inter fans know all too well from recent seasons, being favorites doesn't guarantee the trophy—you still have to land the plane. Chivu's relatively recent playing career helped him forge strong connections with the squad, while his Primavera experience proved invaluable in developing young talent. Perhaps most impressively, he evolved his tactical approach significantly from his time at Parma, adapting his style to maximize the superior weapons at his disposal.
