The New England Patriots filled many needs through the NFL Draft, but some of their picks may not make an immediate impact.

The New England Patriots addressed several key areas in the NFL Draft, but not every pick is expected to make an immediate splash. While the team used their first-round selection on offensive tackle Caleb Lomu—who is projected to eventually replace Morgan Moses—it was their third-round pick that has one insider buzzing about future All-Pro potential.

The Patriots drafted tight end Eli Raridon out of Notre Dame, a move that may seem like a long-term play given that veteran Hunter Henry is still on the roster and in a contract year. However, Raridon is more than just a developmental project. According to Patriots insider Taylor Kyles, the rookie has the physical tools and skill set to become a standout at the position in just a few seasons.

"I think in year three or four I could see him being a legitimate Pro Bowl quality player," Kyles said on CLNS this week. "If you're a downfield threat playing with Drake Maye, you're going to get the numbers... I think at some point in his career, he's gonna be knocking on an All-Pro. What about his game would make you think he's not?"

Raridon put up solid numbers at Notre Dame last season, hauling in 32 receptions for 482 yards. But it's his athletic profile that really stands out. He posted the tenth-best athleticism score among tight ends at the NFL Combine, giving him the speed and agility to create mismatches in the passing game. With the luxury of learning behind a proven veteran like Henry, Raridon is in an ideal spot to develop without the pressure of immediate stardom.

The Patriots don't need Raridon to be a superstar right away. But with his combination of size, athleticism, and the chance to grow alongside quarterback Drake Maye, he has all the ingredients to become a cornerstone of New England's offense for years to come. For fans looking to rep the next generation of Patriots talent, Raridon is a name to watch—and possibly a jersey to add to your collection.
