ESPN has generally been very careful to cover the saga involving NFL reporter Dianna Russini and New England Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel. But TNT Sports’ Inside the NBA production crew wasn’t afraid to go there in its first season with the Worldwide Leader. After the Detroit Pistons beat the Orlando Magic in Game 7…

After the Detroit Pistons sent the Orlando Magic packing in Game 7 of their first-round playoff series, TNT Sports' "Inside the NBA" crew followed up on ESPN with their signature "Gone Fishing" segment—a playful roast of eliminated teams. And when it came to the Boston Celtics, who fell to the Philadelphia 76ers in a Game 7 heartbreaker on Saturday night, the production team didn't hold back.

The "Gone Fishing" graphic typically features star players from the ousted team, along with local celebrities and pop culture nods. For the Celtics, that meant Jayson Tatum, Jaylen Brown, Bill Simmons, John Krasinski, Mark Wahlberg, Matt Damon, and Ben Affleck in "Good Will Hunting" form. But the real showstopper? NFL reporter Dianna Russini and New England Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel, making a cheeky cameo at the front of the boat.

The image showed Vrabel holding Russini as she stretched her arms out like Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet in "Titanic"—a bold move, considering ESPN has generally tiptoed around the saga involving the two. But "Inside the NBA" isn't exactly known for playing it safe.

Even the usually outspoken crew—Charles Barkley, Shaquille O'Neal, Kenny Smith, and Ernie Johnson—seemed caught off guard. "You guys are…" Barkley trailed off, likely nodding to the production team behind the graphic. Johnson quickly pivoted, pointing out Bill Simmons, Krasinski, and Wahlberg. Smith, ever the instigator, played dumb: "Who are the two people at the front? I don't know them."

It was a moment that perfectly captured the irreverent spirit of "Inside the NBA"—and a reminder that even the biggest stars aren't safe from a little postseason humor.
