Arsenal fans can breathe a sigh of relief as Riccardo Calafiori returns to training ahead of Monday's clash against Burnley. The Italian left-back's comeback comes as a welcome boost after last week's injury scare, even as the Gunners grapple with other fitness concerns.

The double injury blow struck during Arsenal's match against West Ham United, with both Ben White and Calafiori forced off the pitch. While White's season has unfortunately been cut short, Calafiori's outlook is far more promising. The defender was spotted back on the training ground at London Colney on Thursday, putting him in contention for the Burnley fixture—provided he responds well to the session.

Observers noted that Bukayo Saka, William Saliba, and Martin Odegaard were absent from outdoor training, but there's no cause for alarm. The trio were reportedly working on individual sessions indoors, a standard practice given that the match is still days away. No new injury concerns have emerged for these key players.

Manager Mikel Arteta had earlier expressed caution about Calafiori's availability, stating in his Thursday press conference: "We don't know whether he's going to be available. We still have days ahead. Hopefully, it's nothing serious. We'll have to wait and see how he reacts." The defender's return to training is promising, but Arteta will monitor his recovery closely.

Meanwhile, Mikel Merino and Jurrien Timber continue their rehabilitation from long-term injuries, with hopes of returning before the season's final three matches. As Arsenal push toward a strong finish, having Calafiori back in the mix could prove crucial for their defensive depth.
