Excitement for the 110th Running of the Indianapolis 500 is picking up at porch parties across central Indiana. Wednesday night, the celebration was at The AMP at 16 Tech on the near west side of Indianapolis. Guests at Wednesday's party could also pick up a porch party kit to help decorate their own home for the Indianapolis 500 and enter the official "Porch Party Decorating Contest."

The countdown to the 110th Running of the Indianapolis 500 is in full swing, and central Indiana is buzzing with excitement as porch parties ignite the community spirit. Wednesday night, the celebration revved up at The AMP at 16 Tech, located on the near west side of Indianapolis. Fans gathered to soak in live music, savor delicious food, and rub elbows with IndyCar driver Scott McLaughlin, bringing the race-day energy closer to home.

"We love hosting anything IMS-related here at 16 Tech. We're right down the road from the Speedway, it makes perfect sense for us. We also host the 'Bikes of the 500' on Race Day, which is a great way to travel to the race, and then we have one of the 'Welcome Race Fans' murals, as well," shared Jacqueline Eckhardt, vice president of brand strategy at 16 Tech. This venue is becoming a hub for fans to connect with the iconic race, blending convenience with a vibrant atmosphere.

Guests at Wednesday's party had the chance to grab a porch party kit—a perfect way to transform their own homes into a mini Speedway celebration. These kits include decorations to help fans get into the spirit, and there's even an official "Porch Party Decorating Contest" to spark some friendly competition. Whether you're a longtime fan or new to the "Greatest Spectacle in Racing," these kits make it easy to join the fun from your own front porch.

Looking ahead, the next community event is set for the Westfield Farmers Market on Thursday, May 14, offering another opportunity to gear up for Race Day. The Indianapolis 500 itself is scheduled to run on Sunday, May 24, promising a thrilling climax to weeks of build-up. As the excitement builds, now is the perfect time to stock up on your favorite racing gear and apparel to show your support in style. Let the countdown begin!
