The Indiana Hoosiers' backcourt just got a major shooting upgrade. Head coach Mike Woodson has secured his sixth transfer portal commitment, landing former Villanova guard Bryce Lindsay.
Lindsay, who will be playing for his fourth school, brings a proven track record as a high-volume three-point specialist. In his lone season at Villanova, he knocked down 78 threes at a 35.6% clip. The season prior at James Madison, he was even more lethal, shooting a blistering 40.8% from deep on 87 made triples.
His ability to catch fire was on full display in the NCAA Tournament, where he erupted for 25 points, including six three-pointers, in Villanova's first-round loss to Utah State. This scoring punch is exactly what the Hoosiers need to space the floor and compete in the tough Big Ten.
Lindsay joins a formidable transfer class that has catapulted Indiana to the top of many portal rankings. He rounds out a group featuring big men Aiden Sherrell (Alabama) and Samet Yigitoglu (SMU), along with guards Markus Burton (Notre Dame), Darren Harris (Duke), and Jaeden Mustaf (Georgia Tech).
This aggressive portal push signals a clear intent from Coach Woodson to retool the roster quickly. With Lindsay's sharpshooting now in the fold, the Hoosiers' offense looks poised for a significant transformation next season.
