Oliver Glasner is determined to end his time at Crystal Palace on a high note—with another trophy in the cabinet. The outgoing manager, who will leave Selhurst Park at the end of the season, has his sights firmly set on Europa Conference League glory before he departs.

“If I'm not excited for a game like tomorrow, it would be the wrong job for me. We love to be involved,” Glasner said at his pre-match press conference, a clear sign that his passion for the game remains undimmed. “If you lose this excitement, it would be a clear sign to retire.”

Palace carry a 3-1 lead into Thursday's semi-final second leg against Shakhtar Donetsk, putting them on the cusp of another major final. This comes just a year after the Eagles lifted the FA Cup—the first trophy in their entire history—a feat that has clearly galvanized the squad and the fanbase alike.

Glasner was effusive in his praise for his players and the club's supporters. “I told the players today that I am really enjoying being part of this incredible group. What they have done for Crystal Palace is incredible. I can't mention it often enough,” he said. “The fans want honey again. They won't be happy with avocado.”

Despite the comfortable lead, the Austrian is wary of the threat Shakhtar poses, particularly their pace and dribbling ability. “We could see how good Shakhtar is. Quick players, good dribblers. We will need another great performance. But of course, we play the game with a lot of confidence,” he noted.

Glasner also highlighted the electric atmosphere at Selhurst Park as a key advantage. “At Selhurst, we know we will have a lot of fantastic support from our fans. We could feel it against Fiorentina and believe it will be even more electric tomorrow. I told the players the best thing is we know what to do. We don't need to change a lot. It's really about playing on our best level.”

For Palace fans dreaming of more silverware, the message is clear: this team is hungry, confident, and ready to write another chapter in the club's history.
