Thousands of Coventry City fans celebrate with the team as they mark their return to the Premier League.

The streets of Coventry turned blue as the Sky Blues celebrated their long-awaited return to the Premier League in style. Over 50,000 jubilant fans packed War Memorial Park, while thousands more lined the city's streets to welcome home their Championship-winning heroes.

Coventry City's promotion party was a long time coming—25 years, to be exact. After clinching the Championship title with an impressive 11-point cushion over Ipswich Town, the team paraded the trophy through a sea of supporters who had waited a generation to see their club back in England's top flight.

The atmosphere was electric as chairman Doug King addressed the crowd. Speaking to BBC Radio CWR, he reflected on the emotional day: "This was my day today... this is why I did it. It was massive. It's been bigger than I thought it would be."

Singer Tom Grennan, who performed at the celebrations, shared his own special connection to the club: "I fell in love with Coventry City when I first went to watch them 10 years ago. This city has taken me in and called me one of their own, and it doesn't ever get better than that. Every time I'm down here I feel like I'm from Cov."

Sky Blues coach Frank Lampard, no stranger to big occasions himself, was visibly moved by the outpouring of support. Addressing the raucous crowd at War Memorial Park, he described the turnout as "amazing" and said it meant a lot to him and all the players.

For Coventry City fans, this wasn't just a promotion—it was a homecoming. After a quarter-century away from the Premier League spotlight, the Sky Blues are back where they belong, and you can bet the team's iconic sky blue kits will be flying off the shelves as supporters gear up for next season's top-flight campaign.
