With help from a rare 6-on-3 goal in the final minute, the Jacksonville Icemen won their final road game of the 2025-26 ECHL hockey season.

The Jacksonville Icemen pulled off a dramatic, season-ending road victory, edging the Greenville Swamp Rabbits 4-3 in a shootout. The win was sealed in the third round by Simon Labelle, whose clutch shot secured the extra point for Jacksonville.

The game's most electrifying moment came with just 26 seconds left in regulation. Trailing by a goal, the Icemen pulled their goalie on a two-man advantage, creating an ultra-rare 6-on-3 situation. The gamble paid off when T.J. Friedmann buried the equalizer, sending the game to overtime and ultimately the shootout.

Jacksonville showed impressive resilience, clawing back from a two-goal deficit. David Jankowski (one goal, one assist) and Peter Tischke provided the other Icemen tallies, while goaltender Cameron Rowe was a wall with 37 saves, stopping all three Swamp Rabbits attempts in the shootout.

With the victory, the Icemen lock up fifth place in the ECHL's South Division standings, ending their road schedule on a thrilling high note fueled by special teams and late-game heroics.
