Daniel Farke has dropped a bombshell hint that he could walk away from Leeds United this summer—unless the club matches his lofty ambitions.

The German boss, whose contract runs until 2027, has made it crystal clear: simply aiming to "stay up" won't cut it. With Leeds already securing their Premier League status for another season, Farke feels his initial mission is complete. Now, he wants to know what comes next.

"Once I signed the contract three years ago, we spoke about the goals," Farke said ahead of Sunday's clash with Brighton at Elland Road. "I have to say, my mission is fulfilled and my job is done here. All the boxes that we wanted to tick are ticked."

Farke, who masterminded Leeds' promotion last season and has steered them clear of relegation trouble with two games to go, insists the club needs a new vision. "To do the same again next year and just aim to stay up makes no sense to me. I have to be 100% convinced," he added.

Talks over a new deal are expected this summer, but Farke is playing hardball. For a manager who has already delivered on his promises, the next chapter needs to be about more than survival—it needs to be about pushing for greatness.
