Hamburger SV will be without a key defensive piece this weekend after left-back Miro Muheim received a one-match suspension from the DFB sports court. The ban stems from a red card for unsportsmanlike conduct in the 64th minute of HSV's 1-1 draw with FC Augsburg.

The Swiss defender was dismissed for a last-man foul on Augsburg's Anton Kade, a decision the club has accepted as legally binding. This ruling sidelines Muheim for a crucial away fixture against high-flying VfB Stuttgart this Saturday.

His absence will be felt; Muheim has been a mainstay in the HSV backline this season, logging 2,335 minutes across 27 appearances—the second-highest total for an outfield player behind only Nicolai Remberg. His defensive reliability and engine on the flank will be a significant loss against Stuttgart's potent attack.

The suspension is a short-term setback, however. Muheim will be eligible to return for one of the season's most heated fixtures: the North Derby against rivals Werder Bremen on April 18th, ensuring he'll be back in action for a match where passion and performance are paramount.
