The last time the Buffalo Sabres made the playoffs, 15 years ago, they had one of the tallest defensemen in the NHL, Tyler Myers.

They've again got a super tall guy back on the blue line this year -- Logan Stanley.

Stanley hasn't been with the Sabres for long. He was only acquired at the trade deadline from the Winnipeg Jets.

His physical presence makes an impact, though, and he's not afraid to drop his gloves and mix it up, either.

Stanley may not score any game-winning goals during the Sabres' return to the playoffs. He'll make sure his presence is felt, though.

Stanley is officially listed with a height of 6-foot-7.

The NHL currently features two players who are 6-foot-9 (which is the height Zdeno Chara played at): Curtis Douglas and Matt Rempe.

Myers is still active and is one of four 6-foot-8 players in the league.

There are then seven players listed at 6-foot-7, with the most notable among them being Tampa Bay Lightning captain Victor Hedman.

So that makes Stanley one of the 13-tallest players in the NHL right now.
