The Colorado State Rams women's basketball program just landed a major offensive weapon. High-scoring guard Camryn Runner has officially transferred to CSU, bringing her elite playmaking from Evansville to Fort Collins.
Runner isn't just a scorer; she's a complete floor general. Last season, she stuffed the stat sheet with averages of 18.2 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 5.3 assists per game, earning her second-team All-Missouri Valley Conference honors. Her performance ranked her among the nation's best, finishing 44th in Division I for scoring and 24th in assists.
Her legacy at Evansville is historic. She set single-season program records for points (637), assists (185), and free throws (218), and even recorded the program's first-ever triple-double. A durable and consistent starter, she played in all 67 games over two seasons, averaging 35 minutes per contest.
This acquisition is a strategic win for the Rams, who were seeking backcourt reinforcement. Runner's arrival helps fill the void left by guard Brooke Carlson's transfer and significantly boosts CSU's offensive firepower. She joins fellow transfers Sophie Sene (Utah State) and Maryn Archer (Arkansas) as key new pieces for the upcoming 2026-27 season, where she will compete as a junior.
With her proven ability to score, distribute, and impact the game in multiple ways, Camryn Runner is poised to be an immediate difference-maker for Colorado State. Rams fans have a lot to look forward to with this dynamic guard leading the charge.
