In a nail-biting showdown, No. 1 New West Charter edged out No. 9 Central City Value in a five-set thriller, 25-17, 16-25, 25-10, 17-25, 15-13. The top seed showed resilience after dropping two sets, closing strong when it mattered most. No. 3 South East also advanced with a solid four-set win over No. 11 Monroe, winning 25-16, 25-19, 26-28, 25-16.

No. 2 Legacy bounced back from an early deficit to defeat No. 7 Lincoln, 17-25, 25-18, 25-19, 25-20, showcasing their depth and composure. No. 8 Annenberg survived a marathon match against No. 17 Canoga Park, prevailing 26-24, 25-19, 22-25, 25-27, 15-13 in another five-set classic.

No. 13 Rancho Dominguez dominated No. 21 LAAAE 25-16, 25-20, 25-15, while No. 10 Animo De La Hoya rallied from a first-set loss to beat No. 15 Sotomayor 28-30, 25-23, 25-20, 25-23. The action continues with No. 7 Maywood Academy set to face either No. 3 Manual Arts or No. 6 King/Drew.
