Bayern Munich sealed the Bundesliga title with a 4-2 win over VfB Stuttgart, which has the team in high spirits ahead of their DFB-Pokal clash with Bayer Leverkusen and Champions League tilt with Paris Saint-Germain. The fans were heard shouting “Berlin, Berlin, we are going to Berlin” which Harry Kane claimed to have motivated the team.
“Of course it’s a motivation. We spoke a lot at the start of the season about the cup being a priority for us,” Kane said via German news outlet Bild (as captured by X account @iMiaSanMia). “It’s been too long since our club won this competition – especially considering how dominant we’ve been in the league. It’s tough to win the cup because it’s a knockout competition. So you have to be there in every game, and we have been this season. We’ve had some tough matches that we still managed to win. Now we’re one step away from the final, and we know how important it is to the fans. We have to get there.”
Bayern has won neither the DFB-Pokal nor the Champions League in six years. This season is their best chance to win both.
