OMAHA, Neb. (WHTM) — In their first and likely only year at the MASL 2 level, the Harrisburg Heat are returning to the Midstate with the championship.
The indoor professional soccer league squad took down the Iowa Demon Hawks in a 8-9 battle at Baxter Arena in Omaha, Nebraska.
It is Harrisburg’s first indoor professional title in the team’s 34-year history. They completed a perfect 14-0 campaign in the Major Arena Soccer League 2 circuit, the second division in MASL Indoor Soccer.
Harrisburg dropped down from the top circuit for this season as scheduling conflicts arose as they moved from the Pennsylvania Farm Show Complex to Hersheypark Arena.
