The Tennessee Lady Vols are adding some serious speed to their roster. Harissoum Coulibaly, a 5-foot-10 sophomore guard, officially signed with the program on April 30, becoming the 12th transfer to join the team following the 2025-26 season.
Coulibaly arrives from Auburn, where she made an immediate impact. Appearing in 31 games with 18 starts, she averaged 10.4 points, 3 rebounds, 1.6 assists, and 1.6 steals per game. Her experience in the SEC makes her a valuable addition to head coach Kim Caldwell's system.
Coach Caldwell didn't hold back her excitement about the new guard. "Harissoum Coulibaly is an extreme athlete who will thrive in our defensive system," Caldwell said. "She is a downhill player who will push pace for us, offensively, and she joins us with proven scoring ability in the SEC."
That "push pace" mentality is exactly what Tennessee fans love to see. Coulibaly's style of play is built on speed and aggression, making her a perfect fit for a team that thrives on fast breaks and high-energy defense. Whether she's driving to the basket or disrupting passing lanes, she brings a spark that can change the momentum of a game.
Originally from Paris, France, Coulibaly was a top-100 high school prospect and a four-star recruit. She played at S3 Academy in Petersburg, Virginia, where she put up impressive numbers: 18.4 points, 6.6 rebounds, 3.4 assists, and 2.8 steals per game. Her talent was recognized early, earning SEC Freshman of the Week honors on December 23, 2025, while at Auburn.
For Lady Vols fans, this signing signals a commitment to building a roster that can compete at the highest level. Coulibaly's combination of athleticism, defensive intensity, and scoring ability will be a key part of Tennessee's game plan moving forward.
