Barcelona fans, get ready to see a familiar face back in action! Manager Hansi Flick delivered some much-needed good news during Friday's press conference, confirming that Brazilian winger Raphinha has fully recovered from his hamstring injury and will be in the squad for Saturday's La Liga clash against Osasuna.
Raphinha has been sidelined for the past month after picking up the injury while on international duty with Brazil back in March. The timing of his return couldn't be better. With a potentially title-clinching El Clásico against Real Madrid looming next week, the plan has always been to have him back for the biggest game of the season. Saturday's match against Osasuna could serve as the perfect opportunity for the 28-year-old to shake off any rust and regain his rhythm before the showdown.
Flick didn't stop there. He also offered an encouraging update on teenage sensation Lamine Yamal, who has been battling his own hamstring issues. While the 17-year-old won't feature in Barcelona's final games of the season, the news is far from bleak. Flick confirmed that Yamal is on track to recover in time for the 2026 World Cup in June.
"Injuries are things that happen," Flick said. "Rafa always gives 100%. It's his mentality, his attitude. He helps us a lot, but this season he has suffered. It's important to have him back. He will travel and we will see what happens. He is the captain. Maybe it gives us what we need."
On Yamal, the coach added: "We are in contact with him. He's doing well, the evolution is good. I think we'll see him at the World Cup. He has time to recover and return. It's what he wants."
With Raphinha back in the fold and Yamal eyeing a World Cup return, Barcelona's attacking depth is looking up at just the right time. Whether you're gearing up for El Clásico or the World Cup, now's the perfect moment to stock up on your favorite club gear and show your support!
