The regular season is officially in the books, and it's time for local baseball teams to turn their focus to the postseason. The Schuylkill League Playoffs kick off Sunday afternoon at Pine Grove's Stump Stadium at Veterans Memorial Field, promising a week of thrilling action.

Tri-Valley claimed the Schuylkill League Division I regular season crown with an impressive 10-2 league record, while Marian Catholic topped Division II standings at 12-2. The final days of the regular season saw some shuffling, setting the stage for Sunday's quarterfinal matchups.

First up at 4:30 p.m., Blue Mountain (16-4, 9-3) takes on Schuylkill Haven (12-8, 10-4). The Eagles closed strong, winning four of their last five to secure second place in Division I, fueled by a pitching staff that allowed just 42 runs all season and posted six shutouts. Evan Setlock leads the charge on the mound, with Riley Sebastian and Ryan Clemas providing key innings. Schuylkill Haven, finishing third in Division II, brings a potent offense that scored nine or more runs in eight games, anchored by Alan Evans, Lane Yoder, and Landon Trostle in the middle of the lineup.

At 7 p.m., Williams Valley (13-7, 11-3) faces Pottsville (13-6, 8-4). Williams Valley enters on a three-game winning streak to place second in Division II, while Pottsville won three of its last four to finish third in Division I. Pottsville's bats are heating up, with four batters hitting over .300 in at least 45 at-bats: Dominic Rynard (.391, 27 hits), Landon Trout (.324, team-high 18 runs), Max Clews (.321), and Brody Hess (.311). Williams Valley counters with a lethal lineup led by sophomore standout Fletcher Thompson.

Both semifinals will be played Monday at Stump Stadium, with the championship game set for Wednesday. Tickets are $6 for adults and senior citizens, $3 for students.
