The future of Libby wrestling is looking bright! The Libby Wrestling Club's Greenchain youth team capped a strong Western Montana Little Guy season at the Polson event on April 3-4, showcasing the grit and dedication that define the sport.

At the 2026 Western Montana Championships, the Greenchain squad proved their mettle, crowning four individual champions and securing an impressive 22 total podium finishes. This kind of success in a short, intense six-week season highlights the tremendous effort and rapid development of these young athletes.

Leading the charge as champions were Izaac Dixon, Teegan Gillespie, Waylon Katzer, and Cash Katzer. Their victories on the mat are a testament to the hard work they've put in. The team's depth was on full display with a host of other wrestlers earning their place on the podium, from second-place finishers like Elijah Gran and Joel Heileson to the many determined athletes who battled their way to third and fourth.

While the Peewee and Beginner age groups concluded their seasons earlier, coaches across the Novice, Middle, and Junior divisions were thrilled with the team's finish. This end-of-season performance is a powerful launchpad for the future.

The Libby Wrestling Club is already looking ahead, with off-season camps and competitions on the horizon to help this promising team continue to grow.
