Tuesday was a packed day across the Green Bay area, with high school teams lighting up the fields in baseball, softball, track and field, soccer, tennis, and golf. From explosive innings to standout individual performances, here's a look at the action that had fans on their feet.
BASEBALL
Ashwaubenon 15, Little Chute 4
The Jaguars came out swinging in a nonconference clash, plating five runs in the second inning, two more in the third, and an eight-run explosion in the fourth to put the game out of reach. Owen Amenson was a force at the plate, collecting four hits—including three doubles—while Moxson Kernz drove in four runs on three hits. Kingston Vang and Andrew Jeske each chipped in two hits to fuel the offensive barrage.
Seymour 15, Winneconne 5
Seymour's bats were relentless, scoring in every inning except the fifth and finishing with 17 hits. Romy Oskey and Xavier Salzman each tallied four hits, with Salzman driving in four runs and Oskey adding two RBIs. Carson Staffeldt, Cayden Staffeldt, and Nolan Beilfuss each had two hits, with Beilfuss knocking in two runs and both Staffeldts crossing the plate three times. Brayden Banker earned the win on the mound, tossing five innings before Scott Sassman closed it out. For Winneconne, Colson Kleinschmidt and Dallas Walker each recorded two hits, and Halen Olson drove in two runs.
Menasha 12, Green Bay East/West 4
The Bluejays jumped out early with a three-run first inning, followed by six in the second and three more in the third. Menasha's nine hits were complemented by 10 walks issued by Green Bay East/West pitching. Grant Shaurette took the loss for the Red Devils as Menasha cruised to victory.
Oconto Falls 8, Freedom 2
Logan Berg powered the Panthers with two hits and three RBIs, helping Oconto Falls build a 3-0 lead in the second inning before breaking the game open with a four-run fourth. Teagan Tate launched a three-run home run and Carter Heroux added a solo shot, with both finishing with two hits. Heroux also earned the win on the mound, allowing just one run on six hits while striking out four over five innings. For Freedom, Quinn Brennenstuhl, Carlton Romitti, and Corey Mathison each recorded two hits.
