It was a busy Saturday across the Green Bay area high school sports scene, with baseball, softball, tennis, golf, and track and field teams all in action. Here's a look at the highlights from a day full of competition.

Bay Port Sweeps Manitowoc Lincoln in Doubleheader

The Pirates proved their strength on the diamond, taking both games of their Fox River Classic Conference doubleheader against Manitowoc Lincoln. Game one was a tight 3-1 victory that needed extra innings, while game two saw Bay Port's offense explode for an 11-8 win.

In the opener, pitcher Parker Lawson was the star, throwing a complete game and allowing just four hits and one run over eight innings. He struck out nine batters without issuing a single walk, keeping the Ships off balance all game.

The second game was a different story, as Bay Port's bats came alive early. The Pirates scored in each of the first six innings, building a commanding 10-1 lead by the top of the fifth. Artie Adams was the offensive hero, crushing two home runs and driving in six runs. Drew LeClaire added two hits and two RBIs, while Grant Nast chipped in with two hits, including a double. Quinn Boeckman earned the win on the mound, pitching 5⅓ innings before Parker Broehm closed things out.

De Pere Dominates Ashwaubenon in Twin Bill

The Redbirds also swept their doubleheader, taking game one 6-4 before rolling to a 13-2 victory in a five-inning game two. Kasen Gregoire went the distance in the opener, allowing just four hits and four runs (one earned) while striking out four. Max Zimmerman provided the offensive spark with a triple and two RBIs.

Ashwaubenon's Nolan Vertz, Ian Justman, and Caden Blasczyk each had two hits in game one, with Justman hitting a home run. But De Pere's bats were too much in the second game, led by Rory Obma and Jake Mleziva, who each had two hits. Mleziva drove in two runs with a two-run homer and also doubled, while Aiden Schilling added two RBIs. Charlie Aichele hit a solo home run for Ashwaubenon in the loss.

Green Bay Preble Takes Two from Pulaski

The Red Raiders swept their doubleheader against the Hornets, winning 8-1 and 6-2. Pulaski scored four runs in the third inning and three in the fifth to take control of the opener. Eli Heuser led the way with two hits, including a double, and an RBI, helping Green Bay Preble stay hot in conference play.
