Fresh off a dramatic 3-2 Scottish Cup semi-final victory over Glasgow City at Hampden last weekend, Celtic FC Women are wasting no time in shifting their focus to the next challenge. This Sunday, they face league leaders Hearts in a must-watch showdown that promises plenty of intensity.

After securing their spot in the cup final, manager Grant Scott is keeping his squad grounded. "It made it easier to come back into work," he said. "You’ve got to enjoy those moments—they’re not guaranteed in football. We had a good performance, a decent result, and a nice occasion to look forward to at the end of the season. But it’s back to business. We’ll enjoy it, move on quickly, and focus on the next one."

While some might see the team hitting their stride at the perfect time, Scott sees it differently. "For me, it’s less about a 'click' factor—I expect that from the players every single day. We’ve had frank discussions when we’ve let ourselves down. It’s something to work on, not a switch to flip, but we’re building and taking that momentum into the coming games."

The immediate test comes against a dangerous Hearts side, who sit top of the league. Scott knows his team will need to bring their best. "One thing is for sure—we’ll need to show the same character and resilience we had against Glasgow City. The last time we played Hearts, we showed zero of that. We were very disappointed with ourselves. Hearts play a different style—very mobile, smart with their movement. We’ll need to be on it, but I’m looking for us to take the game to them this time."

With only three league games left before the cup final, every player is fighting for a spot in the starting XI. Scott expects that hunger every day. "They should be showing that anyway. But having that final on the horizon only sharpens the focus."

For fans and players alike, this Sunday is a chance to prove that the semi-final heroics were no fluke—and that Celtic are ready to finish the season strong.
