Graeme McDowell joined LIV Golf from the PGA Tour way back in June 2022. However, McDowell is still waiting for his first LIV Golf victory.

Graeme McDowell has been a fixture on LIV Golf since making the jump from the PGA Tour in June 2022. But as the league's future grows increasingly uncertain, the Northern Irishman is facing some tough questions about what comes next.

Despite a storied career that includes a US Open victory and four Ryder Cup appearances, McDowell is still searching for his first LIV Golf win. At 46, his best years may be behind him, but his competitive fire still burns bright.

However, with reports that LIV Golf could lose its Saudi Arabian financial backing as early as 2027, the 2010 US Open champion might soon need to find a new home. That possibility has fans wondering: could McDowell return to the PGA Tour? And more importantly, does he even want to?

In a recent interview with Beyond the Clubhouse, McDowell admitted he hasn't given it much thought. "I haven't really given that a ton of thought," he said. "I still have some status back on the European Tour. The PGA Tour, clearly, I don't really have much status there at all, if any. As a past champion, I think that's a very, very low category."

McDowell acknowledged his strong relationships on both tours could help ease a potential transition. "I still have many great relationships back on both tours. I think that you go back and you lean on those relationships and you hope that the way you conducted yourself most of your career will stand by you when the time comes. If the time comes. But we'll see."

For now, the veteran is taking a wait-and-see approach. "There is no point speculating about what if, what's gonna happen. All I can do right now for the next few months is just try and play hard, try and focus on what I'm doing, and trust the guys in the boardroom. We got some smart people trying to figure this all out."

As the golf world watches to see if LIV Golf survives, McDowell remains focused on what he can control: his game. Whether that leads him back to the PGA Tour, the European Tour, or elsewhere is a question only time will answer.
