The Vikings took a while to add a cornerback to their 2026 NFL Draft selections, but they found a guy they liked in Round 5 on the third day of the selection process.
With the 163rd pick in the 5th round of the 2026 NFL Draft, the Minnesota Vikings selected Stephen F. Austin cornerback Charles Demmings.
Demmings is very much a project for the Vikings, but that is exactly what Flores looks for in his secondary.
He has a proven track record of developing cornerbacks in his coaching career, and Demmings has the physical traits to be effective. Now, it is up to Flores to get the rest of the ability out of him, but we have seen enough from their defensive coordinator and what he can do to give this a fun grade.
