Bayern Munich midfielder Leon Goretzka is set to bid an emotional farewell to the Allianz Arena this week, with reports confirming his summer move to AC Milan over Juventus. The German international, 31, has chosen the Serie A giants as his next destination, signing a three-year deal worth €5 million per season according to AZ.

After eight trophy-laden years in Munich, Goretzka's contract expires this summer, and Bayern have planned a fitting send-off. A farewell party is scheduled for Wednesday, followed by a formal tribute before Saturday's Bundesliga clash against 1. FC Köln. The midfielder could also feature in his potential final match for the club—the DFB-Pokal final against VfB Stuttgart on May 23 in Berlin.

Goretzka's recent outing was cut short during Saturday's 1-0 win over Wolfsburg after a heavy blow to the head from a free-kick. Substituted at half-time as a precaution, Bayern sporting director Christoph Freund explained: "Leon got hit brutally on the head... he said he was a bit dizzy. He didn’t feel quite right, so we decided he would stay in the dressing room." Coach Vincent Kompany confirmed the injury was "not serious," but added, "We are now in a phase where, if someone feels something, we have to make the right decisions."

For fans tracking the latest transfer moves, Goretzka's switch to Milan adds a new chapter to his storied career—and a reminder that even the biggest stars need the right gear for their next adventure.
