Paul Goldschmidt homered on the first pitch of the game, Trent Grisham hit a three-run shot and the New York Yankees beat the Baltimore Orioles 6-2 Tuesday night to end a four-game losing streak. Will Warren (5-1) allowed two runs and four hits in 5 2/3 innings for the Yankees. Goldschmidt's fourth career leadoff homer and second in four days put New York in front for good, and Grisham's drive made it 6-0 in the third.

The New York Yankees snapped a four-game skid in emphatic fashion Tuesday night, riding early home runs from Paul Goldschmidt and Trent Grisham to a 6-2 victory over the Baltimore Orioles.

Goldschmidt wasted no time setting the tone, launching the first pitch of the game over the fence for his fourth career leadoff homer—and his second in just four days. The veteran first baseman's quick strike put New York ahead to stay, and the Yankees never looked back.

In the third inning, Grisham delivered the knockout blow with a three-run blast that extended the lead to 6-0. The long ball capped a rally that started with two walks loading the bases, followed by a run-scoring forceout from Cody Bellinger and an RBI infield single by Amed Rosario.

On the mound, Will Warren turned in a much-needed bounce-back performance. The right-hander (5-1) allowed two runs on four hits over 5⅔ innings, a welcome sight after he was tagged for six runs in his previous start against Texas. His effort helped secure New York's 10th win in its last 11 meetings with Baltimore dating back to last season.

Orioles starter Trevor Rogers struggled in his return from the injured list after an extended illness. The lefty lasted just four innings, surrendering six runs on six hits while seeing his ERA balloon to 5.77—a far cry from his stellar 1.81 mark in 2025.

In roster news, the Yankees recalled shortstop Anthony Volpe from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre and placed José Caballero on the 10-day injured list with a fractured finger. Volpe is expected to start Wednesday's series finale, which has been moved to a 1:05 p.m. start due to potential inclement weather.

Wednesday's matchup will feature Yankees ace Max Fried (4-2, 2.91 ERA) against Baltimore's Kyle Bradish (1-5, 4.83) as New York looks to build on its momentum.
