The countdown is on for Colorado high school girls golf fans. The 2026 CHSAA girls golf championship is set to tee off May 18-19, and the field is shaping up to be one of the most competitive yet. Pueblo will be well-represented, sending over a dozen talented golfers to compete for the title.

These athletes have earned their spots through a season of hard work and impressive play. The Lady Eagle Invite at Walking Stick Golf Course on April 22 served as a final showcase for many of the competitors, offering a glimpse of the skill and determination that will be on display at the championship.

Among the local standouts to watch are Pueblo Central's Aislian VanDuyn and Alyson Buchanan, both showing strong short games. Pueblo Centennial's Karlye Padilla and Khloerae Baca bring power off the tee, while Pueblo West's Raegan Olson and Emory Weber have demonstrated precision from the fairway. Pueblo East's Jordyn Daniels and Simona Rowell round out a deep field of competitors.

Rye High School sends Reese Simpson and Gloriana Ruiz, both with a knack for clutch putting. Pueblo South's Lexi Baros and Kaylee Martinez have shown consistency under pressure, and Pueblo County's Maddy Mandarich continues to impress with her ball-striking ability. Swallows Charter Academy's Riley James rounds out the Pueblo contingent, ready to make her mark.

With the championship just days away, these young athletes are fine-tuning their games and preparing for two days of high-stakes competition. Whether you're a fan of the game or just love seeing local talent shine, mark your calendars for May 18-19. It's going to be a tournament to remember.
