EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. — The New York Giants' kicker competition is already heating up, and undrafted free agent Dominic Zvada made an immediate statement during Saturday's rookie minicamp practice. The former Michigan standout drilled all five of his field-goal attempts, including two booming kicks from 50 and 55 yards to close out the session.

Zvada enters a three-way battle for the Giants' kicking job, joining Ben Sauls—who handled the role for the final three games of 2025—and seven-year veteran Jason Sanders, a former Miami Dolphin who missed last season with a hip injury. Head coach John Harbaugh made it clear the competition is wide open. "It's going to be a competition for sure right out of the gates. It already started," he said. "You saw Zvada. That was his first iteration of that competition. We'll be kicking field goals pretty much every other practice—maybe every practice—because we've got three guys to kick."

Zvada's college career was a tale of highs and lows. At Arkansas State in 2022, he was nearly automatic, converting 17 of 18 attempts (94.4%). But the following season, he slipped to 15 of 20 (75%). His best year came in 2024 at Michigan, where he matched his 94.4% accuracy and went a perfect 7 of 7 from beyond 50 yards. However, his 2025 season was a struggle, hitting just 15 of 22 (68.2%).

For his career, Zvada finished 64 of 78 on field goals (82.4%), a remarkable 135 of 137 on extra points (98.5%), and 10 of 12 (83.3%) from 50 yards or more. Harbaugh praised his physical tools and technique. "Really talented. He's big, tall, rangy kind of guy. Big for a kicker you might say. Really strong leg," the coach noted. "More than anything, just the consistency. He's got a vertical swing pattern. He does a nice job of getting downfield through the kick. Because of that, he tends to kick a straight ball consistently. If you do that, you'll probably have a chance."

With OTAs and more kicking sessions on the horizon, Zvada has laid down an early marker in what promises to be a compelling battle for the Giants' kicking job this season.
