Giants Power Past Dodgers Again Behind Adrian Houser’s Strong Start

The San Francisco Giants kept their momentum rolling on Tuesday night, powering past the Los Angeles Dodgers 6-2 in the second game of their four-game series. Following a win in the opener, the Giants once again combined strong pitching with timely offense—this time led by veteran right-hander Adrian Houser.

Houser built on his recent success, delivering another quality start after a solid outing against the San Diego Padres where he allowed just one earned run over six innings. Against the Dodgers, he pitched 5 2/3 innings, giving up three hits and two earned runs while walking three and striking out four.

While Houser isn't known for overpowering hitters with high strikeout totals, his ability to induce soft contact and limit damage has always been a key strength. Against one of baseball's most dangerous lineups, he relied on command and pitch efficiency to work through traffic and keep the Dodgers in check.

Notably, Tuesday marked the first time this season Houser surpassed 90 pitches in a start—a sign of growing confidence from the coaching staff as the Giants navigate the absence of Logan Webb and increased bullpen strain.

San Francisco's offense has looked far more explosive over the past two games, leaning on the long ball to create separation against Dodgers starter Yoshinobu Yamamoto. Eric Haase led the charge with two home runs, connecting in the third inning and adding another in the fifth. Harrison Bader joined the power surge with a solo homer in the fifth as well.

For Haase, the offensive production could spark an interesting roster discussion. With Daniel Susac expected to return and Jesús Rodríguez also an option behind the plate, the Giants may face some tough decisions soon—but for now, they're enjoying the power surge that's fueling their recent success.
