When it comes to the Milwaukee Bucks' future, all eyes are on Giannis Antetokounmpo—and his latest comments about potentially working with new head coach Taylor Jenkins have fans buzzing. The two-time MVP recently sat down with the Journal Sentinel to share his thoughts on the hire, and his response was equal parts praise and mystery.

"I think he's an incredible person," Antetokounmpo said. "Obviously, he's an incredible coach. I was able to be with him in 2019 and we made the Eastern Conference finals."

That connection goes way back. Jenkins was an assistant on the Bucks' staff during that memorable 2019 playoff run before heading to Memphis to take the head coaching reins. And what a run it was—over six seasons, Jenkins transformed the Grizzlies into a Western Conference powerhouse, building a culture of grit, development, and winning that turned heads across the league.

"After that he left, he was one of the first coaches that left the coaching staff and went to Memphis and he had an incredible six years in Memphis. He made them contenders in the West. He had incredible culture in Memphis," Antetokounmpo added.

For the Bucks, this hire feels like a homecoming with a twist. Jenkins isn't just bringing X's and O's—he's bringing a proven track record of building team identity from the ground up. And Giannis seems to agree that's exactly what Milwaukee needs right now.

"I had the conversation. I don't think Milwaukee is just getting just a good coach, I think they're getting a good person. And that's where it starts with. Having a good person around that's gonna be able to set the tone, that set the culture and what Milwaukee Bucks basketball is all about. He's a really good coach."

But when asked directly about the prospect of being coached by Jenkins himself, the Greek Freak kept his cards close to the vest. His response? A simple, telling "We'll see."

For Bucks fans, that's the kind of tease that keeps the offseason interesting. And for anyone following the NBA's coaching carousel, it's a reminder that in Milwaukee, the next chapter is just beginning.
