Some of the players on this list may have sabotaged your fantasy teams this season.

Every fantasy basketball manager knows the feeling: you spend a first-round pick on a superstar, only to watch injuries, team dynamics, or a simple dip in form derail your entire season. While finding late-round gems can win you a league, a top pick bombing can be a death sentence. As we look back on the 2025-26 campaign, a few big names stand out as the season's most costly disappointments.

At the top of that list is Giannis Antetokounmpo. The Greek Freak has battled injuries before, but he had been a model of durability for over a decade, playing at least 61 games in each of his first 12 seasons. This year, however, lower-body issues limited him to just 36 appearances. While his per-game averages of 27.6 points, 9.8 rebounds, and 5.4 assists still look impressive, they represented a step back from his 2024-25 MVP-caliber output in nearly every category. Compounded by the constant, distracting speculation about his future in Milwaukee, his season was a major letdown for anyone who invested a top-six pick in him.

Another premier big man who left fantasy GMs in the lurch was Domantas Sabonis. After Sacramento's crowded roster reshuffle last season, his top-20 Average Draft Position (ADP) already felt optimistic. The logjam of ball-dominant players in the Kings' frontcourt limited his effectiveness from the start, and a torn meniscus in early February ended his season after just 19 games. His averages of 15.8 points and 11.4 rebounds were solid, but they were down across the board from his All-Norm production, making him a bust for his draft cost.

The trend of underperforming centers continues with Myles Turner. After a career year in Indiana in 2022-23, his numbers had declined in the two subsequent seasons. There was hope that a fresh start in Milwaukee, replacing Brook Lopez as the defensive anchor, would revive his fantasy value. Unfortunately for managers who drafted him, that revival has yet to materialize, cementing his place among this season's most frustrating fantasy assets.
