The incredible bad luck for Germany international and Arsenal star Kai Havertz seems to be continuing.

The attacker was forced to leave his team’s eventual 1-0 victory over Newcastle United after an apparent injury to his knee, which rendered him unable to continue onward. This would be a tough blow for both Arsenal and the German national team alike if Havertz is out for a significant period:

Foot Mercato described Havertz as being in tears as he left the pitch, which is never a good sign — especially for someone who has already dealt with several major ailments:

The 26-year-old couldn’t hold back his tears as he left the pitch. As a reminder, he had suffered a series of physical setbacks in recent months, and this injury, the nature of which is still unknown, presents another obstacle to his World Cup dream. The former Bayer Leverkusen striker is under more pressure than ever, as the competition begins in less than two months.
