The Georgia Bulldogs softball team is heading back to the NCAA Tournament, and they're bringing the action to Athens. After a gutsy SEC Tournament run that included statement wins over LSU and Oklahoma, the Bulldogs (38-18) have earned the No. 10 national seed and will host the Athens Regional starting Friday, May 15, at Jack Turner Stadium. It's a well-deserved reward for a team that's been battling all season.

The Bulldogs' tournament journey begins with an opening game against Charleston at 7 p.m. ET on Friday. But the competition doesn't stop there—Clemson and UNC Greensboro will square off earlier in the day at 4:30 p.m. ET in the other regional matchup. Clemson, the second-highest seed in the regional, handed Georgia a tough 10-1 loss back in February, so the Bulldogs will be looking for redemption if these two meet again.

Georgia's path to the Women's College World Series could get even more interesting. If the higher seeds advance, the Bulldogs would face a potential super regional showdown with No. 7 seed Tennessee—a classic SEC rivalry with huge stakes. The Bulldogs had hoped their comeback win over Oklahoma in the SEC Tournament would push them into a top-eight seed, but they came up just short, settling for the No. 10 spot.

This marks the 14th time in school history that Georgia has hosted an NCAA regional and the third time under head coach Tony Baldwin. With 12 SEC teams making the tournament, the conference's dominance in softball is on full display. For Georgia fans, this is a chance to pack Jack Turner Stadium and cheer on a team that's proven it can hang with the best.

Whether you're watching from the stands or following along from home, one thing is clear: the Bulldogs are ready to make some noise. Grab your Georgia gear, mark your calendars, and get ready for a weekend of high-stakes softball in Athens. Go Dawgs!
