Georgia is making a serious push to flip a top quarterback prospect from a conference rival. Offensive coordinator Mike Bobo recently visited four-star QB Jamison Roberts, who has been committed to Oklahoma since March. For the Bulldogs, landing a player of Roberts' caliber could be a game-changer for their future offense.
Bobo and Georgia's coaching staff have been pursuing Roberts throughout his recruitment. While the talented Alabama native has an official visit scheduled to Oklahoma on June 12, Bobo's in-home visit could pave the way for a summer trip to Athens. Roberts has drawn interest from several SEC programs, and if he flips, he could eventually succeed Gunner Stockton as Georgia's starting quarterback in 2027.
Roberts has been nothing short of spectacular at Saraland High School in Alabama. According to the 247Sports Composite rankings, he's the No. 19 quarterback and No. 244 overall player in the class of 2027. He's also ranked as the No. 12 overall player in Alabama. Standing 6-foot-3 and weighing 190 pounds, Roberts is a dual-threat athlete who combines size with elusiveness.
His junior season stats are eye-popping. In 2025, he racked up 4,011 total yards and 58 total touchdowns while throwing just five interceptions. Through the air, he completed 73% of his passes for 3,370 yards and 37 touchdowns. On the ground, he added 641 rushing yards and 21 touchdowns, showcasing the kind of versatility that makes him a nightmare for defenses.
If Bobo can flip Roberts from Oklahoma, it would be a massive win for Georgia's recruiting efforts. The Bulldogs are also in the mix for four-star quarterback Peter Bourque, who is set to announce his commitment on May 14.
