The Georgia Bulldogs are making moves early in the 2028 recruiting cycle, extending a scholarship offer to four-star quarterback Kingston Preyear. The talented signal-caller from Alexander City, Alabama, is already turning heads as the No. 1 quarterback in his home state and the fourth-ranked QB nationally.
Standing at 6-foot-3 and weighing 195 pounds, Preyear has the prototypical build college programs covet. He's currently ranked as the No. 51 overall recruit in the country and the No. 3 prospect in Alabama. Georgia joins fellow SEC programs South Carolina and LSU in offering Preyear this May, signaling a heated recruiting battle ahead.
Preyear's sophomore season at Benjamin Russell High School was nothing short of spectacular. He led his team to an impressive 12-2 record while posting over 3,000 passing yards, 31 touchdowns, and an additional 564 yards on the ground. That dual-threat ability makes him a perfect fit for modern college offenses.
Despite the new offer from Georgia, Preyear has already narrowed his list to six top programs: Alabama, Clemson, Vanderbilt, Notre Dame, Florida, and Auburn. The Bulldogs will need to make a strong impression to break into that elite group.
"Truly blessed to receive an offer from the University of Georgia," Preyear shared after receiving the news. The Bulldogs already have a commitment from five-star class of 2028 quarterback Jayden Wade, but adding a talent like Preyear would give Kirby Smart's future offense incredible depth at the position.
For Georgia fans, this recruitment is one to watch closely as the Dawgs look to secure their quarterback of the future.
