The Georgia Bulldogs have scored a major win on the recruiting trail, landing a commitment from three-star linebacker Temorris Campbell Jr. for the class of 2027. The Miami Coral City High School standout announced his decision, choosing the Bulldogs over Nebraska, Virginia Tech, and several other programs.
Standing at 6-foot-1 and weighing 210 pounds, Campbell brings a powerful presence to the linebacker position. After transferring from St. Thomas Aquinas High School, he's now ranked as the No. 57 linebacker prospect in the nation. For a program known for its defensive dominance, this pickup is a perfect fit.
"It's big for me because I always wanted to go to a program like Georgia," Campbell said. "It's a good fit for me. It's a defensive school. Defense runs everything. It's just such a good fit."
This commitment comes at a crucial time for Georgia's 2027 recruiting class, which had recently lost some momentum. The Bulldogs saw five-star cornerback Donte Wright flip to Miami and three-star wide receiver Aden Sterling decommit in recent weeks. Now, with Campbell on board, the class ranks No. 27 nationally.
While there's still work to be done, the Bulldogs have plenty of time to build momentum. Last season, their strongest recruiting stretch came between late June and early July, so fans can expect more exciting news in the coming months. For now, this elite linebacker addition signals that Georgia's defensive legacy remains a powerful draw for top talent.
