Georgia football's 2027 recruiting class has been stacking up offensive talent, but the Bulldogs just added a key piece on defense—and he's bringing Florida flair to Athens.
On Wednesday, three-star inside linebacker Temorris Campbell announced his commitment to Georgia. The 6-foot-1, 210-pound prospect hails from Miami Carol City High in Opa-Locka, Florida, and chose the Bulldogs over Nebraska after receiving an offer just three days earlier on May 10.
"I like how they work and like how the coaches pushed them," Campbell told the Athens Banner-Herald. "This will help get me to the next level."
Campbell's decision adds some much-needed defensive depth to a 2027 class that had been heavy on offensive players. He's currently the only defensive commit publicly pledged to Georgia, which makes his arrival even more significant—especially after the Bulldogs recently lost two cornerback commitments: five-star Donte Wright and four-star Jerry Outhouse.
Campbell will have the chance to develop under defensive coordinator and inside linebackers coach Glenn Schumann, who has built a reputation for churning out NFL talent. The latest example? Colts second-round pick CJ Allen, a testament to the pipeline Schumann has established in Athens.
Ranked as the nation's No. 70 inside linebacker and No. 842 overall prospect by the 247Sports Composite, Campbell may not be a five-star headliner, but he's exactly the kind of gritty, hard-nosed defender that has become a hallmark of Georgia's championship-caliber defenses. For Bulldogs fans, this commitment signals that the program's recruiting machine is still humming—even for the class of 2027.
