Brewers visit the Twin Cities for (interleague) Rivalry Weekend

This weekend, the Milwaukee Brewers are packing their bags for a trip to the Twin Cities, riding high after winning six of their last seven games. Coming off an impressive homestand that saw them take down both the Yankees and the Padres in consecutive series, the Brewers are ready for an interleague rivalry showdown against the Minnesota Twins. The Twins aren't exactly slouches either—they've won their last two series, taking two of three from both the Guardians and the Marlins.

On the mound tonight for the Brewers is right-hander Coleman Crow, freshly called up from Triple-A Nashville. To make room for him on the roster, the team optioned left-handed reliever Brian Fitzpatrick, who had a solid debut stint—allowing just one run over 5 2/3 innings across four appearances, striking out four. Crow, 25, made his MLB debut in Miami about a month ago, going 5 1/3 innings and allowing two runs on four hits and a walk while fanning four in a no-decision. The Brewers went on to win that game in extra innings. After a rough outing back in Triple-A on April 24 (eight earned runs in 3 2/3 innings), Crow has bounced back strong, tossing 11 1/3 innings with just one run allowed and 11 strikeouts over his last two starts, picking up a pair of wins.

Opposing him is Twins right-hander Joe Ryan, now in his sixth season. Ryan has been steady this year, posting a 3.43 ERA over 44 2/3 innings across nine starts, with 45 strikeouts. His last time out, he went six innings against the Guardians, allowing just one run on two hits, three walks, and a hit batter while striking out five.

In other roster news, outfielder Akil Baddoo has been sent on a rehab assignment with Nashville. Baddoo, 27, spent the last five seasons with Detroit before signing a major league deal with Milwaukee in December. He was off to a hot start this spring, hitting .300/.348/.500 over seven games before a quad injury sidelined him. Now on the 60-day injured list, he's eligible to return in late May.

First pitch is set for 6:10 p.m. tonight—grab your Brewers gear and get ready for what promises to be an exciting weekend of baseball!
