Florida State is making a strong impression on one of its top 2027 recruiting targets, and the timing couldn't be better. Three-star offensive lineman Shavezz Dixon has the Seminoles standing out in his recruitment as he prepares for an official visit to Tallahassee in June.

The 6-foot-4, 325-pound interior lineman from Georgia has a busy summer ahead, with official visits lined up exclusively within the ACC. He's already been to Virginia, and will also check out Pittsburgh, Georgia Tech, North Carolina, and Florida State. That's a lot of orange and blue—but the Seminoles seem to have an edge.

Just a few weeks ago, Dixon named FSU among his top five schools. That's no small feat, considering the Seminoles only extended him an offer back in January during his Junior Day visit. Since then, the relationship has clearly grown.

"Coach [Herb] Hand, he's a very developing guy," Dixon told Noles247. "He's gonna get after it with you. He's gonna develop you and push you to the limit, so that stood out to me." Dixon also credited head coach Mike Norvell for making an impact, highlighting the staff's hands-on approach as a key reason FSU is rising up his list.

Ranked as the No. 580 overall player and the No. 36 interior offensive lineman in the 247Sports composite rankings, Dixon is also the No. 67 prospect in the talent-rich state of Georgia. He's set to announce his college decision on July 8, and with Florida State getting one of his final two official visits, the Seminoles have a prime opportunity to lock in their first offensive line commitment for the 2027 class.

For a program known for churning out NFL-ready linemen, adding a player with Dixon's size, motor, and early loyalty to the brand could be a major building block. FSU fans will be watching closely as June approaches.
