For the first time this season, the No. 6 Florida State Seminoles have been swept. The Stanford Cardinal completed it with a 6-5 walk-off win on Sunday, their second walk-off of the series. The Seminoles are now 36-7 overall and 12-3 in ACC play, they entered the series on a 25-game winning streak

The Seminoles took a 5-3 lead in the top of the sixth inning, but the Cardinal once again responded. A solo home run cut FSU's lead to one before a walk got the tying run on base. A groundout advanced her into scoring position before a two-out single tied the game at 5-5.

FSU got base runners in the seventh and eighth innings, but were unable to take the lead. Stanford did not make the same mistake in the bottom of the eighth inning, loading the bases with one out. Ashtyn Danley got the second out with a comebacker to her, but the next batter ended the game with a walk-off single

Danley pitched 6 2/3 innings for the FSU, relieving starter Makenna Reid to start the second inning before Bella Dimitrijevic started the eighth inning and was replaced by Danley. She allowed two runs on six hits and five walks with six strikeouts.

Dimitrijevic did not record an out, giving up one run on a hit and two walks. Reid allowed three runs on five hits in one inning.

The Seminoles once again went up 1-0 in the first inning, as Bella Ruggiero drove in Jaysoni Beachum with a two-out single. Like they have all series, Stanford answered with some offense of their own to take the lead.

Taryn Kern started it with a single before a sacrifice bunt got her to second. Another single tied the game at 1-1 before a third single nearly gave Stanford the lead, but Ruggiero got the ball in quickly, and Marin Heller threw the runner out at the plate.

The out didn't slow down the Cardinal, who responded with a double and a single, giving them a 3-1 lead. That was the only inning Reid pitched, as the Seminoles turned to Danley to start the second inning, and she calmed things down for them.

FSU's offense came back to life in the fourth, with Heller and Makena Sturgis hitting back-to-back one-out singles. Isa Torres came through, blasting a three-run homer to left field, giving them a 4-3 lead. It is her second straight game with a home run.

Jaysoni Beachum provided some breathing room in the top of the sixth, hitting a solo home run with two outs to make it a 5-3 game. She had three hits in the game.
