Florida State's 2027 recruiting class is already shaping up nicely, but the Seminoles are still on the hunt for a standout wide receiver to join the ranks. Enter Kaden Howard, a three-star prospect who's currently committed to the Nebraska Cornhuskers—but that might be changing soon.
On Monday, Florida State extended a scholarship offer to Howard, signaling their intent to flip the 5-foot-10, 160-pound Miami native. Howard, who plays his high school ball at Palmetto in Miami, took to social media to share his excitement: "Agtg!!! Blessed to receive a d1 Offer from Florida State."
According to Rivals industry rankings, Howard is rated as the nation's No. 704 overall player and the No. 103 wide receiver. He's also the No. 79 recruit in talent-rich Florida. As a junior, he made the most of his limited opportunities, hauling in 25 receptions for 510 yards—an impressive 20.4 yards per catch—and scoring seven touchdowns. That kind of big-play ability is exactly what FSU's offense could use.
Despite his commitment to Nebraska, Howard hasn't visited Tallahassee yet. That's likely the next step for the Seminoles as they work to bring him into the fold. With his explosive speed and knack for finding the end zone, Howard would be a valuable addition to FSU's 2027 class.
