Florida State basketball's offseason momentum keeps building, with the Seminoles securing another key piece for their backcourt. Tallahassee native and Tallahassee State College guard Amare Robinson has committed to FSU, adding local talent and defensive grit to the roster.

This move brings a family connection to Tallahassee, as Robinson joins his brother, recent transfer portal addition Anthony Robinson II. Both players are products of the Florida State University School, where they were coached by Florida A&M head coach and FSU legend Charlie Ward.

Robinson brings a proven defensive mindset to the program, having been named a three-time defensive player of the year in high school. During his freshman season at TSC, he averaged 3.4 points in 12.2 minutes per game, earning four starts and gaining valuable collegiate experience.

His commitment is part of a significant roster overhaul for Head Coach Leonard Hamilton. The 'Noles have now added four transfers this offseason, complementing a high school signing class of six players, including early enrollee and dual-sport athlete Jasen Lopez. This influx of new talent signals an exciting new chapter for Seminoles basketball as they look to build a competitive squad for the upcoming season.
