Florida State baseball's Wes Mendes has been named the ACC Pitcher of the Week after a strong four-game stretch.

The No. 12 Florida State baseball team is on a roll. With four consecutive victories, the Seminoles have improved to 33-14 overall and 15-9 in ACC play, positioning themselves strongly for a run at the NCAA regionals and beyond.

Fueling that momentum is pitcher Wes Mendes, who has been named the ACC Pitcher of the Week for his standout performance. It was a dominant week for Mendes, who remained undefeated on the mound while taking down ACC rival Pittsburgh.

In a masterful outing, Mendes allowed just five hits, issued zero walks, and struck out seven batters on 105 pitches. He threw a complete game—the first by a Florida State player since 2018—and lowered his season ERA to an impressive 2.25.

This marks Mendes' second ACC Pitcher of the Week honor this season, having previously earned the award on March 30. His campaign has been nothing short of stellar: an 8-3 record with 93 strikeouts in 72.0 innings pitched, while allowing just 48 hits and 21 walks.

For fans of Seminoles baseball, this is a season to watch—and for those who love the game, it's a reminder that great pitching starts with the right gear. Whether you're stepping on the mound or cheering from the stands, performance and comfort go hand in hand.

Florida State continues its season when it welcomes the Jacksonville Dolphins for a one-game matchup in Tallahassee on Tuesday at 6 p.m. ET, available on ACC Network Extra.
